Teaching LGBTQ History: From Stonewall to Pride

Educators! Join us on May 4, 2021, 3:30pm PDT for the virtual webinar, "Teaching LGBTQ History: From Stonewall to Pride."

After LGBTQ demonstrations, protests, and sit-ins took place in various U.S. locations in the second half of the 1960s, the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York became the most important event in queer history. Join this webinar to better understand the context of Stonewall in both LGBTQ history and the broader civil rights history of the 1960s. This webinar will feature a presentation by historian and celebrated scholar, Dr. Marc Stein, and a model lesson by Patty Lambert, teacher from Salinas Union High School District. Co-organized with Our Family Coalition.

The cost of this one-time webinar is $30. To ensure quality experience, space is limited.
